Cherry Hills

Fun in the sun is always a must in the summer. Unfortunately we haven't had many days for that fun. : ( I guess that's what we get for being grown ups. We did however get to have an adventurous day with my family at Cherry Hills. It's a fun place to take the kids, and a 25 year old that thinks like a kid (that's me.) We had a blast, the pictures don't do it justice.
I love my family!
family potrait, minus Chris. This is after a full day of swimming!
 mini golf in Paris.
 Frazil's at the batting cages!
 Lil' Nash having fun.
 Me.... being me.

My brother is gifted, and the lazy river.

blessed....?

I love the summer, especially July. It's time where I get to see my family the most. It's also the time where we reflect on how blessed we are to live in an amazing country and state.
I feel very blessed to have an amazing family, friends and husband. I am truly grateful for all the love they give me.
We have been blessed with so many things..... One of the things is this little bugger.

We got really lucky to have a smart puppy. He is so fun to play with and keeps the hubby occupied. When he's sleepy he loves to cuddle, which I love.
But with blessings, always comes challenges, right???
Dexter has been sick for a little bit. We thought he was getting better, but this last week he's been sick again. This includes me getting up in the middle of the night every 2 hours to take him outside... If you know me, you know that I covet my sleep. So this isn't fun. Lately we haven't been closing his kennel because he's big enough to stay asleep. BUT the last week he gets out of his kennel, goes into the living room and rings his bell to go outside, he does not wait for me to get up and to take him outside. Instead he rings the bell and takes a crap right by the door.... and it's not just normal dog poo, if you get my drift. This has happened 4 times in the last 3 days. Dexter tends to eat everything on the ground. This includes rocks, paper, pine cones, grass, feathers, spiders ect. In return he gets a tummy ache, which leads to him needing to go potty every couple hours.
Needless to say..... when I first got this puppy I thought it would be challenging at times and fun other times. He's great.... but we have some news PUPPY FOR SALE!! ha just kidding. What I'm getting at is, If this is anything, remotely close to having a child.... I will not be bearing any children in the future.
So in a round about way, this is a great blessing to have a puppy. It prepares me to know if I can handle children. We will just leave it at that. :)
Hope everyone had a great July!!! And got more sleep than me. ;)

ah life...

So..
This last weekend I was having a hard time with life and everything that goes with it. I think everyone sometimes gets in these ruts.hopefully...
It happened Saturday night and went on to Sunday day. Basically I was having some Moodiness from the PMS, and It lasted about 24 hours. I ended up not going to church because of it and everything was not going my way at all! I then remembered we had to go to a missionary fireside last night. So we went, and so did my bad mood. But right when the fireside started, my mood lightened and I felt so much better. It was a musical fireside and it was just what I needed. It's amazing what music can do to your mood, it lifts you up in the darkest times.
After the fireside I was feeling much better, So Josh and I (and dexter!) decided to go on a walk. We thought it would be a little stroll around the block. It ended up being a 2 1/2 hour walk, up huge hills and through gravel. Ha it was great! Dexter and I were getting very tired and our feet hurt. But it was a blast!! It was just what I needed to boost my spirit. Getting lost with my family is my new favorite thing to do!!!
The best part was, although we were kinda lost and it was getting dark and my feet hurt really bad.... we were both in great moods. Life is great and it was a perfect way to start the week!!!

I can't wait for more adventures with my lil' family. I'm the luckiest woman alive to be able to get lost with the best man ever.
I found this link from lds.org that portrays three peoples lives and how they found happiness. It's exactly how I was feeling.
I am so proud and so blessed to be a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Days Saints.

This is one of the first pictures that Josh and I took when we first started dating.  Oh the memories.
